30 Jan A Beautiful Sound
How important is love? If I speak in the languages of men or angels, if I can fathom all mysteries and knowledge, if I have faith that can move mountains, if I give all I have to the poor, and give my body over to hardships but do not have love I am nothing, gain nothing, and am only a resounding gong (imagine this for a moment) or clanging cymbal.
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. 1 Corinthians 13.
It can make a beautiful sound in our lives when we take these words to heart and practice what they so eloquently profess. God is love. Love will always be the best answer.
