23 Jan Reviving our soul
God fills in the gaps of our fractured hearts. He fills the space between his ways and the ways of the world. When we have a relationship with Jesus, it changes everything. We see him in what he has made, we feel him, and we hear him.
He brings life where there is no life. He brings restoration where there is no hope. He brings love where there is pain. Jesus is the bridge from our hearts to God’s. And when we experience that connection our walls and masks come tumbling down. There is nothing more real than the love of the Father. His truths sets us free. God celebrates his children and has loving thoughts of us even when we don’t feel that we measure up.
He loves us with a love that we can’t comprehend because it is that awesome! Rest in that for a moment. Think of the things that hold you back and down in your daily life. Ask yourself. Are they God’s truths? Are they what God says about you?
He is always extending an invitation. Jesus is always waiting for you to knock and discover him and his love for you. His love fills the cracks and heals the bruises of our hearts. Enabling us to rise up and be the vessels that this world desperately needs.
Psalm 19: 1-10
“The heavens declare the glory of God;the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they display knowledge. There is no speech or language where their voice is not heard. Their voice goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world. In the heavens he has pitched a tent for the sun, which is like a bridegroom coming forth from his pavilion, like a champion rejoicing to run his course. It rises at one end of the heavens and makes its circuit to the other; nothing is hidden from its heat. The law of the LORD is perfect, reviving the soul. The statutes of the LORD are trustworthy, making wise the simple. The precepts of the LORD are right, giving joy to the heart. The commands of the LORD are radiant, giving light to the eyes. The fear of the LORD is pure, enduring forever. The ordinances of the LORD are sure and altogether righteous. They are more precious than gold, than much pure gold; they are sweeter than honey, than honey from the comb.
The Lord is in the simple and gives joy to our hearts. I love how these verses share how he revives our soul. Jesus’s love is steadfast and perfect in it’s pursuit of you. If we can get our eyes off of ourselves and on the one who completes us we will be refreshed. Let the words of our mouths and the meditation of our hearts be pleasing to his sight.
